ABOUT NICOLE

Nicole Bird Author and Educator

Meet Nicole Bird, Author & Educator.  Nicole's work has appeared in several literary magazines including, Angel City Review, Monadnock Underground, and The Acentos Review, among others and with more forthcoming. Her writing has been nominated for a Pushcart Prize, the Best of the Net, and she was selected to participate in Season 19 of AWP’s Writer to Writer Mentorship Program.


Nicole earned undergraduate degrees in Creative Writing and Film Production. She then graduated from the American Film Institute Conservatory with an MFA in screenwriting. She
went on to write and produce her own short film content, screening her work at film festivals all over the world. She also worked in film production with Netflix, EA Sports, and notable post production houses. 


She currently works as a writing instructor in Orlando, Florida and is at work on a magical realism novel. Her poetry chapbook, Baptized by Earthquake: Poems about Los Angeles is
forthcoming from Nat 1’s Audience Askew imprint.
